What is it like to be a Buzz Builder
at theKbuzz?

At theKbuzz we research, build and
manage online communities. Buzz Builders play an integral role in each of these
steps. theKbuzz works hard to stay current on social media and marketing
trends. We also constantly acquire new business, which involves creating an
entire social media marketing plan catered to the client’s needs. When we
acquire a new client the first step is designing and building their online
presence through Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn and other social media
networks. We are then responsible for maintaining and growing their presence on
these platforms.
Buzz Builders play a crucial role in executing
these marketing campaigns as they take on the voice of the client and engage
with their customers. Buzz Builders have the opportunity to get involved in a
variety of ways such as designing and building pages, managing the social media
presence for clients as well as constantly researching advances in social media
marketing! Buzz Builders are assigned projects based on their skills and
interests.
Overall Skills
theKbuzz looks for:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word and
Excel
·
Strong time-management and organization skills

Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

An enthusiastic and outgoing personality

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Resourcefulness
· Experience working with Google Docs and Google Wave (preferred)
Tasks include:
· Reading relevant
blogs on a daily basis to find interesting information to share
· Using online
journals and databases to research new business proposals
· Being active on a
variety of social media platforms and staying aware of updates and changes
· Analyzing
competitors’ social media involvement
·
Monitoring, managing and updating clients’ profiles on
Twitter, Facebook and other relevant sites
·
Reaching out to appropriate individuals and groups on behalf
of clients
·
Replying to both positive and negative feedback with
appropriate responses
For our
design-savvy Buzz Builders:
Before we can manage a client’s social media presence we
must first create one. We design and create Facebook pages and Twitter
backgrounds for each of our clients. This aspect of theKbuzz involves a lot of
graphic design savvy and some coding ability. Buzz Builders must catch the
audience’s attention and entice them to join in the conversation!
Skills Required (for design positions):
·
Knowledge of HTML/FBML codes (or ability to learn this very
quickly)
·
Experience with Photoshop (or other image editing software)
Tasks include:
· Designing graphics
and HTML code for fan pages on Facebook
· Designing and
uploading Twitter backgrounds
· Making revisions
to pages as per clients’ request
